These Stances are here as an aid to those who have taken the Tai Chi class.  They are to serve as a reminder for the correct position of the Stances.  Second, Third and Fourth Stances are shown in a front and side view.  Here are some points to keep in mind.

Hands are on the hips throughout the stances. Hips are always tucked in and the back is straight up and down. Start with a minute in each stance except for the third stance, which should be held for at least thirty seconds. Gradually increase the time to at least five minutes in each stance, including the third. 

Second, third and fourth stances will be held to the left and the right.  Always start from the first stance and return to the first stance between each of these stances.
